Branding

Since we started Volente, we've always viewed it as more of a "brand" than a company or a business. We want to make an impact at a large scale, beyond just Volente Creative. With big plans for a restaurant in the future, we wanted to start small with a little recipe blog to get our feet wet and maybe generate some interest.
We wanted to keep the Creative and Kitchen brands separate, while keeping them tied together by a common name. Taking our branding experience to this project, we designed a monoline script wordmark communicates warmth, friendliness, and a hand-crafted vibe.
Our digital visitors should feel welcomed and comfortable when browsing our site, like a familiar friend's house.
Following through on that intention, we created a website with warm tones, easy navigation, and predictable layouts.
Many food and recipe blogs are plagued by too much visual stimuli, making it hard to find your way around the site. Popups on every page, three ads or more visible at all times, a random video playing somewhere, and other tropes were things we strayed away from.
Simplified, familiar, and low-stimuli is the name of the game – and we think we nailed that.
Let rest for at least a few years
Super excited that we've finally been able to launch this and we hope many other kitchens are blessed by it!
